Pictured here is the front of the Inn which rests on the Old Post Rd that ran between Boston and Philadelphia. The route was established by the ingenious Ben Franklin who became Postmaster General of the American Colonies in 1753. The Old Post Rd thus became one of America's most important roadways between early American towns and cities, helping to establish an essential communication network for the Revolutionaries.
